What service did we provide?
Ikhaya Creatives, organised and curated a home away from home experience on behalf of the Department of Sports and Arts and Culture for the South African government. This involved sourcing a suitable venue, decor, entertainment, procurement of visas for all the acts, media coverage and marketing for an exciting week long of events organised by us.
South African Sports Awards 2023
We partnered with MVS Consulting to organise the official South African Sports Awards 2023. Ikhaya Creatives was established as the head of creative to ensure capturing all visuals/recording on behalf of the department of Sports and Arts and Culture was adhered to.
Deep Sessions Vol. 1
2023
Deep Rooted is an entity that looks to build a sense of community through creative expression, music and the arts.
We planned Deep Rooted’s first recorded session at 16 on Lerotholi Art Gallery, in Langa Township, Cape Town, South Africa. The event embodied the amplification of the roots that drive their creative expression, through this, shining a light on South African communities. The day involved three DJ sets with live recordings for social media platforms; Youtube, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
We provided a media team and the lovely Black owed venue, showcasing stunning African paintings and sculptures.
Deep Sessions Vol. 2 x Grade Africa
2024
Together with the Deep Rooted team, we curated a live recorded session, which took place in the iconic Grade Africa store, in the Mall of Africa, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Grade Africa is a street fashion brand that looks to use it's unique style to blend African heritage and contemporary fashion to create a bold and modern aesthetic that reflects the vibrant spirit of South Africa.
